Too often, when we heard the word “sports bar;” we think “fist fights, cheap plastic pitchers of bad beer and crappy 25 cent wings, crowds five deep at the bar.”
The Brickyard is not one of those cavernous sports bars whose capacity rivals Madison Square Garden. We don’t want large, rambunctious crowds; just a few dozen fans who are passionate about the game, their drink, and their food.
We’re the midtown New York sports bar for grown-ups.
For the Super Bowl, we’re doing something different than most other bars in New York City. Sure, like everyone else, we’ll have a bevy of large screen TVs turned up loud, but we’re adding something else: a healthy dose of sophistication.
For those who call us early enough to reserve a table, this starts with your own seat, at a table, and waiter service. For everyone at a table, and those who choose at the bar, we’re also offering a special for a fixed price of $65: for the duration of the game, you can enjoy 20 of our craft beers, house wines and well drinks, as well as an ample supply of a wide array of passed hors d’ouvres, including the best chicken wings in NYC.
Those sitting or standing at the bar are welcome to enjoy our usual menu and drink selections at regular prices.
Call us today at 212-767-0077 to reserve your table, which must be claimed by 4:30 pm.
Come enjoy the lead-up to the Big Game, which will include Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton singing “America the Beautiful” and Kelly Clarkson singing “The Star Spangled Banner.” Like everything with the Super Bowl, these performances are watched closely and ranked against the all-time greats. Most observers currently rate Whitney Houston’s 1991 rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner as the best ever at a Super Bowl.
Welcome to the best sports bar in midtown Manhattan for grown-ups.

Today is the beginning of Broadway Week, an event that has been so well-received by theater goers that it now runs for more than two weeks, ending February 4.
So what’s the deal with Broadway Week? It’s elegantly simple. Most of the shows on Broadway – from classics like Chicago, Godspell and Porgy & Bess, to new shows such as Chinglish and Relatively Speaking – are offering two tickets for the price of one. See the Broadway Week website for limitations, but it’s the best deal you’ll see on Broadway all year.
In the spirit of encouraging New Yorkers and tourists to partake of all that New York has to offer, Brickyard Gastropub is offering two, prix fixe specials for Broadway Week. One is a small-plate tasting menu, and the other is a traditional three-course meals, with choice of entree. Each costs just $29.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity).
Small-Plate Tasting Menu
Witte Steamed Cockles - New Zealand cockles, capers, tomato, fennel, shallot, steamed in Ommegang Witte
Le Belle Farms Duck Salad - New York State duck, poached pear, dried Michigan cherries, roquette, candied walnuts, goat cheese, champagne vinaigrette
Steak Frites - Seared and skewered grass fed New Hampshire hanger steak, parmesan & white truffle frites,
Au poivre dipping sauce
Assorted Petits Fours - Four unique and delicious petits fours
Prefixed 3 course Dinner Menu
Soup du Jour or House Salad
Entrée Selections (* choose one)
* Pressed Chicken - Crispy skin-free range chicken, spaghetti squash, wheat berries, brussel sprouts
* Potato Crusted Flounder - 6 oz flounder, haricot vert, oven roasted roma tomato, saffron beurre blanc
* Flat iron Steak - Pan seared flat iron, truffle mashed potato, haricot vert, bourbon bleu cheese sauce
Assorted Petits Fours - Four unique and delicious petits fours
For those who just love tastings, may we also suggest our four-beer sampler? Just as the tasting menu is for those who can’t choose from among our many savory appetizers, our four-beer sampler is for those who can’t just pick one of our 24 world-class craft beers on tap.
Brickyard is quickly becoming known as one of the best restaurants in the Theater District of NYC. Our reviews on Open Table are the very best you’ll ever read for a restaurant in our moderate price-range.

Brickyard Gastropub has quickly become known as the best place in midtown NYC to watch soccer and other European sports. The large boisterous crowds we drew for the Women’s World Cup were covered in segments on NBC Nightly News and Tokyo TV.
We also had large, enthusiastic crowds for the Heineken Cup Rugby Final last year and the Barcelona vs. Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League Final. Indeed, we’ve become known as one of the best Barcelona soccer bars in NYC.
We’ll certainly be one of the best NYC bars showing Real Madrid vs. Barcelona in COPA Del Rey on Wednesday, January 18, at 4:00 pm.
Indeed, we’re now going all out to become the best place in Hell’s Kitchen or anywhere in midtown to watch European Soccer. We open at 10:00 am every Saturday and Sunday to show all of the matches starting at that time or later. We will also show all matches during the week. If ever you walk into Brickyard and find your team’s game is not being shown on at least one of our TVs, let us know and we will quickly remedy that.
We also welcome groups of fans for a particular club who want to make Brickyard the headquarters for fans of their club. Please contact Pat or Addis at 212-767-0077 to discuss.

Many people in New York City will spend some or much of this upcoming weekend planted in a seat at a sports bar, gobbling up bar food, downing beer, and watching one great football playoff game after another, all day long.
New York City has many sports bars to choose from. But most of them define “sports bar” as ones that offer cheap plastic pitchers of bad beer, 25 cent wings and fist fights over space among crowds 5 deep at the bar.
You’ve looking for something a little more sophisticated.
Watch the NFL Playoffs at Brickyard Gastropub, the midtown New York sports bar for grown-ups. Here’s why:
We Take Sports Seriously
We have 9 HDTVs, more than enough to satisfy everyone in the bar.
The Beer
Our first-class list of 24 craft beers on draft and five craft bottle beers evolves regularly, particularly as the seasons change; it’s always anchored by beers from Blue Point, Six Point, and Ommegang. As the glowing reviews on Open Table and Yelp convincingly show, sports fans share our taste in beer.
The Wings and Other Fabulous Bar Food
Our passion for sports and beer doesn’t come at the expense of the taste of our food – we are, first and foremost, a Gastropub.
Ours are anything but ordinary: very meaty, perfectly crispy with just enough spice and served with creamy New York State Bleu Cheese dressing. Take your pick of Buffalo, Teriyaki, Thai Chili or Honey BBQ wings.

- A flight of craft beer at Brickyard Gastropub
We also offer baskets of regular and Sweet Potato Fries, Beer Battered Onion Rings and Homemade Potato Chips, as well as the best sliders in NYC, featuring your choice of Kobe Beef, Lamb or Crabcake, and NYC’s best burgers, whether Beef, Veggie, Lamb or Bison.
Groups
Got a big group of friends? We accept advance reservations from groups of loyal fans and promise to show their team’s game in its entirety. So whether you’re cheeseheads from Green Bay praying for a repeat, Tebow maniacs, or Niners fans from SF dreaming of former glory, all that matters to us is that you’re in NYC now, and fans of the Brickyard. Let us make you feel right at home.
Call us today at 212-767-0077.
You can also make smaller reservations on Open Table.

New Year's Eve Times Square
Come spend a spectacular New Year’s Eve with Brickyard Gastropub.
We’re just minutes away from all the excitement, happily just outside the ball-drop “frozen zone,” at 52nd St and Ninth Avenue.
But we won’t make you stand in a corral for hours to catch the action. We also won’t make you pay an exorbitant package price to even enter our restaurant. We’ve had a great year, and to thank our loyal customers, we are offering our regular prices on our dinner menu till 11 pm, and our full bar menu all night until 2 a.m.
We also offer two spectacular prix-fixe options.
The first offers a Prix Fixe t”Surf & Turf,” with a 9 oz filet mignon, 6 oz lobster tail, white truffle mashed potato and haricot vert, and a glass of champagne, for $49.95.
The second option offers 4 hours of Open Bar from 9 pm till 1 am, including most of our world-class Craft Beers on Tap, house wines, and well liquors, also for $49.95.
You are welcome to purchase one or both Prix Fixe specials, or simply enjoy our regular menus and drink offerings at regular prices. You can walk in any time, have as few or as many drinks as you want, and pay regular prices.
Of course, the party will continue into Sunday, given that most people have off from work on Monday.
Did you know that our Weekend Brunch is one of the best in the city – outstanding, innovative food, without the lines or rush?
We’ll also be showing all the NFL games on Sunday, with a lot of playoff spots still to be decided. We’re booking fast for the showdown for the ages on Sunday night between the NY Giants and the Cowboys – call us at 212-767-0077 to book your table now!
On Monday, we’re also the unofficial NYC watch party bar for Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

On Monday, January 2, 2012, the Oregon Ducks play the Wisconsin Badgers in the 98th Rose Bowl game, from Pasadena, CA. The game will be played at 5:00 pm New York time.
Brickyard has been a favorite watch party spot for Oregon Duck fans. We had a large and enthusiastic crowd for last year’s BCS Final, as well as all of the games this year. We’re the “adult alternative” to the college party atmosphere of the official watch party.
Once again, we are figuratively painting the Brickyard Green & Yellow for the evening and inviting a giant contingent of Ducks fans.
Every single seat at the Brickyard has a clear view of at least 5 televisions, and on January 2, all of them will be tuned to the Rose Bowl, with a large group of Oregon Ducks fans cheering every play that goes their way.
And yes, there will also be quite a few renditions of the “Mighty Oregon” fight song.
The only thing missing will be the Duck and the Oregon cheerleaders, but we’ll see plenty of them on screen.
Call us now at 212-767-0077 or email us at Info@BrickyardNYC.com to reserve a table.

Many New York City restaurants close early on Christmas Eve and remain closed till the 26th. At Brickyard, we are keenly aware what it’s like to live in NYC in a small apartment, and perhaps without a lot of family around. Additionally, many members of our staff are only too happy to work on holidays, when the crowds are cheery and in a good tipping mood!
Thus, we’ve chosen to be one of the few NYC restaurants open on Christmas Day. We remain open on holidays to provide a home-away-from-home feeling for our many customers who remain in the city over the Christmas. Last year, we had quite a few reservations for Christmas Dinner, and then our bar area filled up around 8 pm and remained that way till closing time. Thus, we plan to be open for our regular hours, serving our regular menus, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The only caveat is that we may close earlier than 4 a.m. on either night if things get very quiet, so call us at 212-767-0077 should you plan to join us after midnight on either day.
We look forward to greeting you and sharing some holiday cheer with you.

If you’ve ever been to the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, you know that this is truly a special NYC production. And, if you’ve never been – this is a must-see performance. Starring the famed Radio City Rockettes, the Christmas Spectacular is one of the longest-running and most well-attended shows in the world. The Rockettes themselves performed at the opening of Radio City Music Hall in 1932, and the group has been performing the famous Christmas show every holiday season since.
Every year, the production is changed slightly to make each performance unique, while maintaining traditional elements like a live nativity season, cameos by Santa, and much more. Kids of all ages will appreciate and love the show, which has become an annual tradition for many families.
If you are heading to the show and planning your day, we invite you to bring the family to Brickyard to enjoy a meal together before or after the show. We’re a truly family-friendly restaurant, with an excellent dinner menu for the grown-ups, and a very affordable kids’ menu for the little ones – because we don’t believe that you should have to pay $25 for a meal they might not touch, and we don’t think that you should be relegated to tasteless chain restaurants just because you’re dining with the kids!
We’re a quick 8-minute walk from Radio City – so, take in the holiday sights of NYC and come see us on 9th Avenue, between 52nd and 53rd. Happy holidays!

It’s official….the holiday season is upon us! And one of NYC’s landmark events, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting, is just around the corner. If you’ve never been, this might just be the year to make your way over to see this world-famous event. Take advantage of unseasonably high temperatures – at this writing, temperatures are expected to be in the high 40s or low 50s – and enjoy the performances of artists including crooner Michael Buble and the popular Cee-Lo Green, among many others.
The show starts at 7, with the tree itself scheduled to be lit at 8:55 – we recommend that you get there early to try to get a good vantage point! After the festivities, let us keep the celebration going – but, no matter what you do, don’t blow your Christmas budget trying to eat near Rockefeller Center. The prices will be jacked up and the lines will be long. (Think about it – the restaurants have a captive audience to say the least, why NOT double the prices!?) And, the $25 chicken sandwich and hour plus wait is pretty much a guaranteed buzzkill – don’t lose your holiday spirit because you’re not sure where else to eat!
Instead, make like a local and walk a few blocks west to Brickyard and enjoy a relaxing late dinner (Spinach, Aged Asiago & Garlic Ravioli, or Pumpkin & Ricotta Gnocchi sound good?) or a cocktail or two. We’re less than a ten minute walk from Rock Center, so lose the crowds on the way, come in and sit down right away (or darn close to it) and come raise a glass with us to the unofficial beginning of the holiday season! AND – bonus – when you get there, ask for Addis, and prove to him that you’ve been to the tree lighting or read this blog article (be creative – you don’t have to bring Michael Buble with you, though that would be pretty amazing!), and enjoy 10% off, just because we love spreading holiday cheer. Cheers!
