Enjoy Your NYC Valentine’s Day at Brickyard
To most of us, Valentine’s Day means a day for celebrating romance. It may be with a significant other, or with your family or friends. You want to enjoy time with people you love, and celebrate the romance in your life or the possibilities for it.
To most restaurant owners, Valentine’s Day is a bonanza. This year, it falls on a Monday night, so most restaurants can look forward to better-than-normal business from Friday through Monday. When love is in the air, how do most restaurants respond? Why, by jacking up their prices, naturally. It’s as though they think you should prove your love for one another by spending way too much on a meal. Just as catering halls charge an extra $50 a head for weddings compared to other parties, on Valentine’s Day, most restaurants offer only a “prix fixe” menu, which should more honestly be called a “prix grande” menu.
Not the Brickyard! No, we don’t raise prices for the holidays, for the Super Bowl, for March Madness, not for anything. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, we’ll confess that we love our customers. So this Valentine’s Day, we’ll be offering our regular menu at regular prices. But we’ll also be offering a prix fixe menu – not a prix grande menu. Indeed, our prix fixe menu offers an appetizer, entree, dessert and a glass of champagne for $80 per couple! (tax and tip not included).
