Bjork at Roseland

Sunday, February 19th, 2012

Bjork continues her month-long residency in New York with four presentations of her “Biophilialive” multimedia project at the legendary Roseland Ballroom.

Roseland is located on the edge of the Theater District at 239 W. 52nd St. If you have tickets, you likely found this post because you’re wondering about the best restaurants near Roseland.

Do yourself a favor. Ignore the traditional theater district haunts, most of which are mediocre, over-priced and packed with out-of-towners streaming off of tour buses.

No, instead take an easy three-minute walk west to Ninth Avenue, where the Brickyard Gastropub awaits, with a dinner menu laden with prime meats and seafood, local, organic produce, and the best craft beer in New York City. Also check out our bar menu, with three different types of sliders (Kobe beef, pulled pork or Vegetarian) and four different types of amazing chicken wings. We are perhaps best known for having the best craft beer list in NYC, with the majority of our beers brewed within a few hundred miles of our establishment.

Soon, you’ll be sharing sentiments such as those expressed in the reviews of Brickyard Gastropub on TripAdvisor, where we are consistently ranked as one of the top restaurants in NYC.

We look forward to having you!

Enjoy The Best Brunch in Midtown for Valentine’s Day

Thursday, February 9th, 2012

For those for whom an unhurried, romantic dinner on a Tuesday night is not feasible this year, we suggest an alternative Valentine’s Day: Sunday brunch.

In most restaurants in New York, the leisurely midday meal that is brunch tends to come with a few unwanted additions: crowds, long waits and overpriced menus. But we want brunch to be something you can look forward to, and then actually enjoy. With that in mind, our weekend brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays, and you can stroll in any time between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. And we promise – no long waits.

And the menu? It’s anything but ordinary. You won’t see basic eggs benedict or blasé pancakes, but you will find interesting takes on classics, and seasonal ingredients combined creatively–like our outrageous entree salads, our famous Brickyard’s Benedict, the best Irish breakfast in NYC, Frittatas, French toast with Nutella and bananas, and Farro andFruit. All for between $10-$15 per entree.

Brunch is quickly becoming one of our most popular meals; come by with your loved one(s) this weekend to find out why.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Brickyard Gastropub

Thursday, February 9th, 2012

Valentine’s Day is a day for celebrating romance, whether with a significant other, or with your family or friends. You enjoy some moments with people you love, and celebrate the romance in your life, or the possibilities for it.

When love is in the air, how do most restaurants respond? Why, by jacking up their prices, naturally. It’s as though they think you should prove your love for one another by spending way too much on a meal. Just as catering halls charge more for weddings, on Valentine’s Day, most restaurants offer only a “prix fixe” menu, which should more honestly be called a “prix grande” menu.

Not the Brickyard! No, we don’t raise prices for the holidays, for the Super Bowl, for March Madness, not for anything. We love our customers, and we love hearing from nearly everyone who walks through our doors, “we’ll be back.”

So this Valentine’s Day, we’ll be offering our regular menu at regular prices. But we’ll also be offering a prix fixe menu – not a prix grande menu. Indeed, our prix fixe menu offers our famous tasting menu for two for $49.95!  We also continue to offer our three-course prix fixe menu for $29.95 per person.

We challenge you to find a better deal in Manhattan from a restaurant that is so highly rated (see reviews of Brickyard on Open Table, which accepts reviews only from verified diners, where we consistently rate four stars or better – higher than ANY comparable restaurant).

While we are known as one of the best sports bars in New York City, we also have a separate back room with a quieter, more sophisticated and romantic vibe that is a perfect place to celebrate romance. Come see for yourself.

We expect to fill up quickly; please call us today at 212-767-0077 for reservations.
